the workshop

hai 2de was a wonderful de, haha. 2de we had a workshop on translation of public education materials written in english into 3 Indian langs, MAlaYalaM, Hindi and KaNada. we students were divided into 3 grps and i was in the "malu" grp. last de itself the organisers have informed us abt the workshop which wl start by 10am, but i was under the impression tat it wl start at 10.30 am. after watching a film on fride eve, i got up very late on sat, by 9.40 tat too after my friend knocked in door. i gt up and she asked "r u nt cmg" and i replied its at 10.30. she said, " who told u so?" and i asked who changed the schedule?"
i dnt like to go out without takng bath, and i hv to report at seminar hall by 10.00. i rushed to get ready and thr is no water in our corridor, i ran to the nxt corridor, luckily i culd take bath and i gt ready by 10.
ran to seminar hall,and thank god, the programme started after i reached by abt 10.20 (as usual late)
thn thr was presedential address by 2 eminent personalities talking abt languages, bilingualism and translation of materials
after the tea brk, programme staretd, and i culd find me and my friends struggling for getting apt words for each of the english word in malayalam, our mother tongue. i was recollecting the literary and pure malayalm lang after around 4years. initially it ws difficult and i tuk around 2hrs to complete one page. after lunch brk, i was more energetic (as usual and especially 2de i dint have mybrkfast) and started off again. by 4.30 we culd finish our wrk and leave the hall.

finally the lesson i learned was tat my knowledge in l1 as well as l2 is pathetic, nhi nhiiii

A question on which I had pondered a lot many times.

THE ELECTIONS

Yet again, the Loksabha elections, lot of hypocrites fighting and arguing against each other. More stories aiming for votebanks, targeting the politically based divided Indian population differently mentioned as rural, urban, minority, backward, majority, forward, poor, the list is never ending
And finally the result none to serve the common mans’ interests or his basic needs

Y do educated youth stay away from politics? A question I feel tat I should ask myself, but am not able to reflect well on this issue. Hey guys out there, can u comment on this?
Can u establish a well integrated, unified INDIA inspite of its differences????????
Wat can we do to lift our country and society from the quagmire of corruption and feudal democracy enshrined in dynasticism and courtier culture.Jus a minute and think abt it, we need tat!!!!!!!!!!!

2de my friend APPU came to me asking abt my blog address and i was all set to think about it, taking a long time, missing out some parts of the blog's name, che!!!!!! and finally culd get it correctly. i was writing a therapy report whn she came to me,and aftr she went i continued with tat, smehw finally i finished it and started browsing. i suddenly thn decided to devote a few minutes shooting my random thoughts at this neglected blog. bt this neglect was nt purposeful rather it was xam time, followed by a small vacation, beginning of new semester, results, uffffff i was full busy.

12th of march was an important day for a diffident and abashed girl like me, as tat de witnesed my "journal club". oops me, jyo and bhu, all 3 tensed. it is supposed to start at 1.30pm and our guide had asked us to move to the seminar hall much b4 and arrange evrything, the mike settings, ppt projection etc. evrything was working properly and we were doin a mock presentation and suddenly the system got stuck. damp!!!!!

and its 1.30, all my friends had already arrived, this being the last jc of this academic year. we are trying hard to make it work and all our staffs were pooling into the seminar hall. we have to finish our presentatn by 2.00 and till 2.30 its the discussion time. but wat to do, our computer had decided to take a rest. its 1.45 all r waiting and we 3 all taut standing on the the stage. finally to our surprise the computer started working after its break time and i started with a gud evening instead of gud afternoon. anyways it went on and we finished by 2.15.

questions were asked and smwhw i culd manage to answer them.

but thank god, it was nice and ended peacefully.
